MY PRACTICE:

How Can I Help?

We all need help from time to time, and nobody should have to face life's challenges alone.

Do you need help with any of the following?

  • Making an important decision

  • Figuring out why you are so sad and what to do about it

  • Controlling your worry, fears, and anxieties

  • Communicating with your partner, boss, or someone else

  • Feeling better about yourself

  • Learning about who you are

  • Adjusting to a new life challenge

  • Kicking bad habits and developing good ones

  • Being your best self

  • Feeling comfortable in your own skin

  • Coping with loss

  • Managing stress

  • Dealing with anger

These are just some of the areas we can address together. As your counselor, I will work to help you with whatever challenges are present.

ABOUT ME

Daniel Ference, MA LCPC

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and member of the American Counseling Association, I have experience working with depression, anxiety, addiction and recovery, stress and anger management, couples' concerns, grief and loss, and adjustment issues related to everyday life challenges. I received my Masters degree from Concordia University Chicago, and I have been working for several years with adults from all backgrounds in individual, couples, and group settings.

My therapeutic approach is best described as collaborative. Together, clients and I explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work to build upon client strengths and empower individuals to overcome whatever challenge is present. Most importantly, our work begins with establishing a trusting relationship so as to provide a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment for personal exploration.

Many of the techniques I utilize would be considered Cognitive-Behavioral in nature. However, I understand that each client is unique, and thus I may use other treatment approaches more suited to a specific client’s needs.
